Build the thing that unblocks the energy transition

Anodela is a small team working on a hard, physical problem with an obvious scoreboard: does the line make better cells this week than last?

The scoreboard is on the factory floor.

We ship to real lines, measure real yield and get told immediately when we are wrong. It is the most honest feedback loop in software.

What makes this work different

Physical impact

Your code changes what happens to real electrode moving at metres per second.

Hard engineering

Real-time perception, edge inference, control theory and simulation — not CRUD.

Close to customers

Everyone spends time on plant floors with the engineers who use what we build.

High stakes, high care

Safety-critical thinking, reversibility and evidence are part of the craft.

Compounding problems

Every deployment makes the models better for the next line.

Global by necessity

Cells are made in Europe, North America and Asia; so is our team.

Where we need people now

How we hire

  1. Intro

30 minutes with the hiring manager on your work and what you want next.

  2. Craft

A deep technical or domain conversation about real problems, no puzzle questions.

  3. Practical

A scoped exercise close to the actual job, timeboxed and paid where substantial.

  4. Team & offer

Meet the people you would work with, then a decision within a week.

How we support the work

Remote-first

Work where you are effective; travel to plants when it matters.

Real rest

Generous leave with a minimum, not just a maximum.

Meaningful equity

Everyone owns part of the outcome.

Serious hardware

Whatever machine and lab access you need to do the work.

Learning budget

Conferences, courses and standards access, including battery-industry bodies.

Health & family

Comprehensive cover appropriate to your country.

Why people joined

“Formation was 24% of our cell cost. Anodela re-sequenced channels and trimmed the protocol per cell, and we took 17% of the formation hours out without touching a single capacity spec.”
Elena RossiVP Manufacturing, Kestrel Energy
“Metal-particle escapes were our nightmare. The contamination model flags a signature our inspection vendor simply does not see, and it quarantines the affected cells automatically.”
James WhitcombeReliability Engineering Lead, Helion Motors
“We commissioned line four with the twin first. It predicted the calendering window that would hold porosity, and the real line matched it within tolerance on week two.”
Aiko TanakaGigafactory Program Director, Aurora

What the next two years look like

Hiring plans track deployments, not headcount targets. [ASPIRATIONAL]

  1. Now

    Deployment depth

    • More deployment engineers than sellers
    • Applied science per chemistry family
  2. Next

    Fleet scale

    • Fleet governance and multi-site tooling
    • 24/7 support coverage across regions
  3. Later

    Category leadership

    • Standards participation
    • Partner ecosystem engineering

Built for the assurance bar of battery manufacturing

Cell manufacturing is safety-critical and IP-dense. Anodela is designed so quality, IT/OT and EHS approvers can say yes.

SOC 2 & ISO 27001

SOC 2 Type II program with encryption in transit and at rest, SSO/SAML, SCIM and RBAC down to the line.

IP & recipe protection

Chemistry, coat-weight and formation recipes stay in your tenant. Optional fully on-prem deployment with no egress.

Assurance-grade audit trail

Every perception, proposal, approval and executed setpoint change is immutably logged for IATF 16949 and IEC 62660 evidence.

Data residency

EU, US, Korea, Japan and China-domestic regions, or air-gapped factory edge for sovereign programs.

Hiring questions

For deployment and applied-science roles it helps enormously. For core engineering, strong real-time systems experience and genuine curiosity about the process are enough.

Deployment roles are plant-heavy. Most engineering roles are a few plant weeks a year, but nobody here builds for a factory they have never stood in.

Case by case, depending on the role and country. Tell us early.

Tell us what you want to build.

Send work you are proud of and the problem you want to spend the next few years on.
